57-key Hooghuys organ
By Bjorn Isebaert

Hello there,

I'm an 20-year young student from Belgium and for several years I've
been busy with AMI, especially with Hooghuys organs. I suppose most of
you know this builder (if otherwise, I suggest that you consult Bowers
Encyclopaedia); a few years ago, a friend of mine (the grandson of
Charles Hooghuys, Louis Hooghuys' son) was able to get track of an
organ in France: a 57-key Hooghuys organ, owned by Jacques Binder at
Luneville. Unfortunately, the owner sold the organ without letting us
know, so we've lost the track.

We are quite sure that the organ was sold to America, but the problem
is that we don't know to whom. We couldn't contact the previous owner,
so...

Anyway, I hope someone will be able to help me. If any further
questions about Belgian (or Dutch) organs and organ-builders, you're
welcome ! (Sorry for my bad English, but it is already some time ago
I've practised it (I'm studying Latin and Greek at the University of
Ghent)).
