Hot Glue to Hold Tubing in Place
By Rick Cooley

Hi John,

What a great idea from John Tuttle about using a hot glue gun for tacking
rubber tubes in place on machines. We have done restorations for 40
years (about 300 machines, counting music boxes, orchestrions, players,
reproducers, etc.) and it never occurred to us to use a glue gun to keep
those pesky tubes where they belong.

We are currently restoring the German "Robot Band" by Blessing, which is
three life-size automatons who play the traps, piano and accordion. It
was formerly at Bellm's Sarasota Museum. There seem to be hundreds of
tubing runs that need to be "stuck in place". Who says "you can't teach
an old (61) dog new tricks." Thanks, John.
