Re: Need Papers From Patent Office

Ed Gloeggler wanted to know if he could obtain patent filings for the
Sandel's Violano -type inventions.  The answer is "Yes."  Some of the
larger public libraries have records of patent filings including all
the schematics. But your best is to go to one of the several (maybe
nine or ten) regional patent libraries throughout the United States.
Many of these are located at major universities; or you could go the
patent library in Washington, D.C.

For a list of the locations go to any one of the "Federal" Government
Bookstores usually located at major federal buildings and obtain one of
the US Patent Office publications that are for sale at these locations.
These publications will have a list of all the regional patent
repositories around the U.S.

You also might be able to call the Patent Office in D.C. for the locations
of the regional offices in your area.  I hope that is of some help
