How do you pronounce "Welte"?  Like most English speakers most probably
Weltee (short i or ee?); in German it is pronounced with an e like in
next, or the second e in remedy.  But Welte & Sons Inc. was an American
company too, so you could very well also pronounce it the usual American
way.

What if you talk about "Welte & Soehne, Freiburg" and "Welte & Sons Inc."
in one sentence?  Would it be correct to use both pronunciations in one
sentence to show which company you mean?

For Welte Licensee in my opinion you simply can use Weltee.  It became an
American company by the Alien Property Custodian Act; those Welte's still
in America were American citizens since the 1880's.

I'm happy I can pronounce "Ampico" in German exactly as it is written,
with a short i (or ee).  Otherwise I would avoid this word, because I
wouldn't know how to pronounce it correctly anymore.  I still say "Levees"
for "Levis" not "Leevais" as long as I talk German, so the TV-ads do the
same.
