Hi everyone; I've just joined the list.  I'm a piano technician in
California with 25 years in the business.  At the beginning of my career
I rebuilt a couple of players and had some experience with reproducing
pianos,  but have had little to do with MM instruments since then, though
I've always loved mechanical music.  I had the pleasure, about 1972, of
visiting Larry Givens in Pennsylvania and seeing and hearing his
marvelous collection of instruments.

Now an upright player has found its way into my hands and I'm doing a
complete restoration on it; hence my renewed interest and seeking out
this list.  I also have a couple of reed organs, though they're not
automatic.

I found some enjoyable and informative articles on my first reading; I
hope I can contribute something worthwhile for other subscribers.
