It has never been my impression that the editors of this digest
interfered with open discussion through comments made or editing of
submissions.  In fairness to John Tuttle, though, I wonder if he has
some specific instance in mind where he felt that editing led to a
misunderstanding of or bias against an idea presented in a contribution
to the digest.
