Ken Vinen wrote yesterday that he would like to see the Digest
"more focused on the truly important thing -- that being the rescue,
restoration and care of mechanical musical instruments."

Here's a longer list of categories which I believe are worth discussing,
and which further the enjoyment and advancement of our hobby.

  Education and Appreciation ("Mechanical Music for the Masses")
  Mechanical Music in Society (sociology; music at the fairground)
  Preservation ("Inventory of Fair Organs")
  Writing & Arranging Music for Mechanical Music Instruments
    (It began long before Haydn & Mozart!)
  Production of Media (music rolls, computer files, emulation, etc.)
  New Technology (Midi adaptations; solenoid pianos)

There are lots and lots of topics which we can explore here in
the Digest.
