C. W. Parker Carousels
By Joyce Brite

There was a full-page article in Sunday's Topeka Capital-Journal about
C. W. Parker carousels and their restoration. The article includes a
close-up photo of the horns and drum of a Wurlitzer band organ. If
anyone would like a copy of this article, I have some extras.

Thanks,

 [ Editors note:
 [
 [ I found a web site with mention of a C. W. Parker carousel:
 [
 [ http://www.thirdrock.com/itm/dest/north_america/usa/texas/brenham/carousel.html
 [
[ The text says, "Col. Parker called his machine a 'Carry Us All' from
[ which the name Carousel derived." (Imaginative !)
 [
[ I also found mention of the Seabreeze Park carousel at
 [ http://www.dynrec.com/carousel.html
 [
[ "The Carousel News & Trader" magazine has a new site underway at
 [ http://www.carousel.net/trader/index.htm
 [
[ Have any readers discovered good carousel web sites with historical
 [ information?
