Introducing Le Ludion
By Philippe Crasse

For three months we have been looking at MMDigest -- we revise our
English before joining this forum. ;-)

In fact, it seems easy to understand all of you, when you talk about our
common passion : music and mechanical musical instruments. I'm happy to
know that it's difficult for everybody in the whole world, to unscrew
some rusty parts of a forgotten instrument, and to find old traditional
components to restore the same.

For 20 years, we know those kinds of questions, and we try to answer with
a specialized team of 10 dedicated people. We use our experience in
restoration for re-creating "old-dreamy street and fairground organs".

Those who were in Chicago '96 MBSI Convention know our line of organs,
and the music we arrange and punch. We develop our tune-list with
re-edition of antique tunes from Limonaire, Gavioli, Gasparini and
Marenghi style, and we arrange new songs for contemporary entertainment.
We feature a computer-driven punching machine (with no name, this tool
works, and wastes no time to get a Christian name from the local town
hall ;-)

In south of France (when you put the Earth in your left hand) you
can locate our workshop in Toulouse, on your right, just above the
Mediterranean sea, (43 deg. North and 1 East). Have a trip there,
it's really a fine place.

Until we welcome you, have a look on our web site on

[ Well, a big "Bonjour" from MMD to you, Philippe and Eve. Yes, I know
[ Toulouse and the fine red wines of Gers; when I visit France again I
[ will surely visit you. It is a special pleasure to welcome an organ-
[ maker in France -- our first. You join the company of our members
[ who build organs in Germany: Jaeger & Brommer, and Robert Hopp.
[ So what name will be bestowed upon your perforating machine? Will
[ it be a boy's name or a girl's? You must tell us soon! -- Robbie
