Subject: Missing Nickelodeon Parts

Hi my name is Phil Edwards. I sent you a message over the Microsoft
e-mail program, but I am not sure if it was actually sent to you,
so I am writing to you this way.

I saw your Web page, and was very much impressed. I have a few questions
I hope you can help me with. I have a nickelodeon made by National
Automatic Music Co. It is the carousel roll type, and is equipped with
a diorama of a dog race in it. It was purchased by a music museum to
display during the New York State Fair in 1974.

At that time the museum took it apart to restore it. They were able to
get the musical section playing in time for the fair, but had to store
away the dog race because they ran out of time. Several years went by
and I decided to finish the project. I was able to find most of the
parts of the dog race.

Unfortunately, I am missing some important parts to it. Since it was all
stored in a public access building on the fairgrounds, I am lucky to find
what parts I did. Could you possibly help me in locating the missing
parts? The parts I am missing are:

Two bearings that hold a turning shaft. It is mounted where the keyboard
would sit. I can send you a drawn picture of it in the postal mail if
you wish. The hole that the shaft runs in is 3/8" in diameter and it is
1 and 1/4" from the bottom edge of the base. It has a screw top with a
spring and felt for the oil.

Three gears that work with the ladder type chain (like player piano's).
They fit on the 3/8" shafts (3/8" inside diameter) and they have ten
teeth. The outside diameter from tips of teeth is 1 and 1/8".

If you could help me out, or know of someone who could help me, I would
greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much for your time and help.
