Seek Medley Rolls for Play-Rite
By Matthew Caulfield

The latest issue of the AMICA Bulletin carries a note from Bill Flynt
asking people who have original or Play-Rite recut rolls (large size and
medleys), especially Ray Siou's medley rolls issued in the '80s, which
they would be willing to loan back to Play-Rite to contact Bill by phone
at 972-644-2493. Bill is acting as a clearing house in the effort to
rebuild Play-Rite's stock of roll masters lost in the recent fire, since
Play-Rite's office phones are not yet working.

Bill mentions that the only piece of irreplaceable mechanical equipment
which Play-Rite lost was the machine used to print words on the rolls.
New technology will be needed for that, according to John Malone,
Play-Rite's owner. Bill Flynt wants to hear from anyone with expertise
in modern printing methods that might be adaptable to printing word
rolls.
