Piano Horror Story
By Bruce Clark

This incident occurred in the first few years that I was rebuilding
players. I had just completed rebuilding a Standard player unit, and had
installed it back in the piano. A few days later I received a call from
it's owner telling me that the player was not playing all the notes.

I immediately went to the customers home, and checked out the piano.
There were indeed several notes that were not working at all. Suddenly
out from around a corner marched a monster-type of a child carrying a
water pistol. He proudly announced that he had watered the notes by
squirting water into the tracker bar!
