"Dear Old Daddy Long Legs"
By Frank Himpsl

Jody, In reference to John Tuttle's forwarded request for information on
the tune "Granddaddy Long Legs," it might be possible that the tune in
question is actually "Dear Old Daddy Long Legs," which was composed by
Harry Von Tilzer in 1919. It was issued on QRS #875, played as a duet by
Zez Confrey and Max Kortlander. The tune was a big seller, and is common
still today in sheet music and on all the piano roll labels.
