Phenoseal
By Dean Randall

Greetings all, There had been quite a bit of discussion about various
methods for eliminating porosity in wooden player bits of late, and the
general consensus seemed to be that Phenoseal was just the ticket.
Although I have never in over 40 years of doing player work used it,
I ordered a bottle. (see, you _can_ teach an old dog new tricks! )

Now: everything I have read about it suggests that like the PPCo.
Plastic Glue, it retains a slight tackiness which makes me wonder how
suitable it is for sealing a pouch-well.

Am I imagining a problem where there is none, or is there a better
product for pouch-wells? Or should I talc the bottom of the well after
sealing?
