Sources of Welte Rolls
By Colin Hinz

Brian, The Piano Roll Shop sells Welte Licensee re-cuts. Not many, but
some. Their frequent roll auctions also include some Welte rolls. Yes,
they're much less common than Ampico, but they're out there.

Granted, I'm still a novice at all this, but I'd be inclined to leave the
instrument as a Welte.

BTW, I checked out your web site after one of the local entertainment
weeklies briefly mentioned it a few days ago. I can pass along all of
the 'blurb' if you're interested -- the mechanical music connection got
only an incidental mention. While reading the article, I realised midway
through that I was reading about an MMD'er and nearly fell out of my
chair. (RELAX, it was a positive review.)

Thanks for posting the lyrics to the Billy Murray song -- it truly is a
hoot, and if anyone out there knows of a roll of "I Love Me" I'd be very
interested to know more, *especially* if it were a word roll.

There, now that should increment that 'web hits' counter of yours by a
chunk....and generate a few raised eyebrows, to boot.
