Almost Beer Songs
By D. L. Bullock

I recently was playing through a collection we bought of about 600 rolls
and found one that mentioned "Mr. Bevo" and had something to do with the
fact that prohibition was about to end.

I can't remember what the name was but I shall go looking for it. I know
I put it in the "personal keep" pile. So it is here in the collection
somewhere... (Will I ever get that stash into the database?)

St. Louis has Mr. Adolphus Busch's "Bevo Mill" German restaurant which
is still going. His other product "outlet" The Feasting Fox is now back
in operation as an eating and Drinking establishment. His great grand
children live here and still run Anheuser Busch.

[ I beleive a reference to "Bevo" is in the protest song,
[ "Alcoholic Blues", by Ernest R. Ball (under a pseudonym). -- Robbie
