"Be a Clown"
By Howard Wyman

I believe the movie that Ingmar Krause is referring to is "Singing in the
Rain". There is a production number in which Donald O'Connor sings "Be a
Clown", and among other things, he dances with a mop, a dummy, and at the
end of the number he runs up one side wall and does a back flip onto his
feet, then up the back wall with the same flip, but on the other side
wall he crashes through the wall.

The number takes place on a movie set with prop men carrying boards
through (which become part of the number). It was one of the best of
the MGM musicals of the 1950's.
