Electric Valves for Pianos
By George Bogatko

I'm once again interested in the valves mentioned above, having
discovered the OCTET Midi converter device (http://www.octetdesign.com).
This is a MIDI-to-voltage gizmo that costs $251 for 128 notes (and that's
a *very* compressed description).

I know they've been discussed here, but would somebody be willing to do
another review of them? Are they any good? Are they too costly? Or are
they like the old DEC-repairman joke:

Q: How many DEC* repairmen does it take to change a light-bulb?
A: It depends on how many defective bulbs he brought with him.
