Mechanical Music in London
By Andy Hood

Hi, I saw the request for details of mechanical musical Instrument
museums in London and Paris. There is - The Musical Museum, 368 High
Street, Brentford, Middlesex. TW8 OBD. Telephone 0181 560 8108.

The museum is located in an old church and has a fine collection of
instruments, Hupfeld, Chickering, Steinway, Aeolian etc. Orchestrions,
Music Boxes, Street Piano etc. The first time I visited there I really
enjoyed myself and hope to visit again.

Slightly further afield in St Albans (25-30) from London is St Albans
Organ museum, 320 Camp Road St Albans, Hertfordshire AL1 5PB. Telephone
01727 851557.

There are quite a few more collections of mechanical instruments in the
country but I don't know of any others close to London.

Regards
