Convert Artrio-Angelus into Duo-Art? Oh, No!
By Robin Pratt

Replying to subject about converting Artrio to Duo-Art. Terry, as a
former President of AMICA (goals = preservation, education and
distribution) why would you want to? In my book it would be better to
GIVE away an intact instrument to someone who would preserve/restore it
than to make it into a bastard Duo-Art upright.

Don't we all know the market for the upright models? Great as they are,
the don't sell quickly even though they sound better than the 5-foot
grands. Plus, strange conversions are worth nothing. Haven't you and I
discussed this before?

My advice, sell reasonably, or give it away with the rolls. You already
know you can't get rich on these musical instruments. Preserve it.
