Cross-Country Piano Mover
By Gary Rasmussen

A couple of years ago I shipped a newly restored Steck Duo-Art upright
from Cincinnati, Ohio to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, via North American Van
lines for, I think, around $400.

The deal was, they give you a window of about a month or so to do the
move. When they happen to have a truck going that direction with room on
it, they come by and get it. No putting it in a crate was required, such
as the commercial freight truck people wanted. They did a very good job.
