FS: Ampico Valves
By Bob and Sonja Lemon

Jon asked about Ampico valve replacements. We have at least one set
each of old upside down and right side up Ampico valves for Ampico A that
we could part with. (They need rebuilding)

In the past we have determined that it might be easier to produce new
valves than to rebuild the old ones. We have the tooling and fixtures
to make both types of A valves and B valves and incorporate Streichers
components. We have over 100 upright A valves nearly completed. We
use only hot hide glue for assembly and finish with brown shellac.

We also have the fixtures to allow accurate pressing in of the top valve
seat. We have built a set of upside down valves using upright pressed-in
seats and they worked out great. It may not be authentic, but it sure
works well!
