Transfer Decals (Abziehbilder)
By Claus Kucher

At MMD 98.01.04 Hans van Oost was seeking for "Transfer Decals for
Mignon Organette". Maybe the following is applicable for you:

Some years ago I was engaged writing a device driver for a
thermal-transfer printer, producing foils to iron onto textiles
("Buegelfolien"). For testing purposes I mirrored some pictures and
printed them both on the thermal-transfer printer in color, as well as
on a 24-pin needle printer in black and white. The only problem to
affix it with an ordinary ironing machine on a cotton material was the
comparable small size of the device vs. the image size, because ideally
you should warm up the whole picture to glue it on the material.

With some skill I got good results. (Due to the unknown
heat-resistance of the foils I did not test them in a laser-printer;
photo-alike pictures you would get from thermal-sublimation printers;
it is unlikely that bubble-jet technology will work without use of a
special ink).

If the procedure as described above could work for you I think you
should be able to get foils (printed) at any better copy-shop.
