Hi all!  I haven't submitted anything for a while, but now I really
need you.  I have a 1911 Henry and S. G. Lindeman 65/88 note Autopiano
player that could use a proper regulation.

I have Arthur Reblitz's Piano Servicing Book and a copy of the Piano
Action Handbook and was wondering about some of the specific
measurements for certain functions.  For instance, in the Reblitz book,
the hammer stroke should be about 1-3/4 inch.  The Piano Action Handbook
doesn't even list my piano but the average seems to be around 1-5/8".

When I measured the distance in my piano, as it stands now, it was
exactly 2 inches for every hammer.  The piano still has it's original
hammers but they aren't worn very much at all.  Is this a normal
distance for that brand of piano?

Since it's not listed in my copy, maybe some of the piano technicians
reading this could possibly look it up for me.  The piano has no
problem with this distance, but plays very loud.  Before I purchased
the instrument, it was being stored in a barn for the past 30 years.
It needed very little work done to the piano action ( new bridle straps
) and everything still in very good regulation ... that is until I saw
the specified measurements in these books.

If anyone out there can give me some specific measurements for the
hammer stroke distance, hammer letoff distance, and backcheck distance
for a Henry and S. G. Lindeman Player Piano I would greatly appreciate
it.  If none can be found, is it safe for me to go by Arthur Reblitz's
measurements ?
