Referring to the Piano Action Handbook of the Piano Technicians, Guild,
which lists action measurements for dozens of brands (though not the
Lindemann), the range for hammer stroke is from 1 3/4" to 1 7/8".
There are no pianos with a stroke of 2", and that would be too much.
The let-off is almost universally 1/8" for upright pianos.

Before changing the regulation, I would check the action bolts and
brackets, and the height of the keyframe, to make sure there hasn't
been some change to account for the excessive hammer blow distance.
