Dan Tracy's Polyphon
By Larry Greenfield

Polyphon and other disc makers put bells in some of their disc boxes;
the model number will have a G for Glocken -- German for bells). The
number of bells are from 4-12, and the bells are played at will, which
means you can remove them from being heard by a simple lever.

Polyphon made boxes with bells, with one 14" disc model having a nest
of 14 vertical bells; the smaller Polyphon boxes have their nests of
bells vertical, while the larger boxes generally have their bells
placed horizontally. You can see pictures of these disc-bell boxes in
the Bowers 'Encyclopedia' I mentioned previously. Polyphon made more
boxes without bells, while Kalliope made more disc boxes with bells.
