Types of 65-note Roll Players
By Hal Davis

May I suggest to Mike Carey that he be more specific referring to 65
note players as they are not all the same. For some of them the rolls
are almost impossible to find and for others there are plentiful
supplies. I presume that what he wants in a 65 note piano player is
the 65 note six-to-the-inch eleven-and-a-quarter inch wide roll with
pin ends.

There are others out there that he might want to avoid. The Cecilian
65 note player, for example, uses a varied spacing from the center of
the roll out to the edges on their earlier players, while on their later
ones they standardized on the straight six-to-the-inch uniform spacing
which is more common.
