Pedal-Electric Haines Ampico
By Rod Cornelius

I was way behind with my reading of the MMD as I was for a few weeks
catching a few of our large 8-pound trout. Well, not all 8-pound,
but one was; the rest were about 6-pound.

Anyway, I have just caught up on the correspondence on the Ampicos.
I have just parted with a pedal electric Ampico upright piano, un-
restored. It was a Haines Bros. Piano no 75893. When Craig Brougher
saw it I think he said it had a Seeburg pump in it.

It is very different to the Marshal & Wendell one I have, which has
the conventional Ampico boxed pump and is electric only. I have
photographs of the pump etc. if anyone is interested. The piano is
now in Michael Woolf's collection here in NZ.
