Books for Newcomers
By Julian Dyer

Surely the Art Reblitz book that's of interest to newcomers to
Mechanical Music (player pianos, anyway) is "Player Piano Servicing
and Rebuilding", not "Piano Servicing...".

With this book, you can have a stab at rebuilding pretty well any
player piano you'll ever find. It's very good indeed. $19.96 at
Amazon, money well spent!

The other newcomers' book, probably of more general interest, is
Harvey Roehl's "Player Piano Treasury", which Amazon have listed as
out of print, although I'm sure you can still find new copies in the
shops, and loads secondhand. It's what started the whole hobby going
back in the late 1950s!
