Phantom of the Opera Music Box

Again, to MMDers, be patient with me as I check my email 1-2 times per
week.  Look on pages 81 and 82 of the "bible", Bowers' "Encyclopedia."
Here are two examples of monkey music boxes from the late 19th century;
I assume that is the time period for the Phantom show, as I have never
seen the show.  Perhaps he added this box to the show to set the time
period as well as to intrigue the audience.  Thanks.
