Playing MIDI Piano Files on a PC - WinGroove
By Robert Perry

Hi everyone, Regarding the recent thread about the best MIDI sounds
for PCs: There is a program called WinGroove that replaces your
sound-card's instrument sounds with digital samples of the actual
instrument, in effect, doing the same job as a wave table sound card,
but improving on it.

As far as I know it works with every sound card, and best of all, it's
shareware; you can have a free trial of it. I've created a .wav file of
it's output to demonstrate how well it works on my normal 16-bit
sound card. It's about 500k, and is attached here.

You can download the latest version of WinGroove at

    http://www.cc.rim.or.jp/~hiroki/english

Regards,
Robert Perry

[ I'll ask Jody to place the file at the MMD web site for
[ audio and sounds. Look for "WinGrve.wav" -- Robbie
