Hello!  I wonder if you might help me.  We have been offered a piano
by a family member.  It is a Smith & Barnes player piano.  We know
nothing about pianos really.  We found a serial number, but we found
no address for Smith & Barnes other than Chicago.  I searched the net
and found you!

Is Smith & Barnes still in existence?  Are there people still around
who know how to tune these instruments?  Can one still buy music for
these pianos?  The piano is 5 feet long, 4-1/2 feet high and 28-1/2
inches wide.  We found a serial number and we're wondering if this
might incorporate the year of manufacture?  The number is 193383.

Any information and/or leads on the net that you can provide to me
would be greatly appreciated!
