Thursford Organ Museum
By Paul Allen

In reply to Shirley Nix's request for directions to Thursford. It
is in Norfolk. From London take M11 to Cambridge (50 miles), from
Cambridge take A10 to Kings Lynn (40 miles) . At Kings Lynn take
the A148 (at a roundabout) this will be signposted to Cromer, Thursford
is about 26 miles on this road from Kings Lynn.

Tell your friends to keep awake as there are two small villages nearby,
called Little and Great Snoring.

If they have time to visit Thursford it is a must, as you say there
is a good selection of fair and dance organs. When I went about five
years ago, there was a lunch time recital on the Wurlitzer with large
screen TV effects , this in it's self was worth the entrance fee. The
grounds are very pleasant, with one or two shops and a narrow gauge
steam railway.

I hope this is of some use Shirley, I would also recommend the use of
a map.

Paul Allen
