My mother in law is in a nursing home and her birthday is coming up.
My daughter said she remembered her Nanny saying that The Old Rugged
Cross was her favorite song and she even knew all the words.  This
women has had such a rough life.  She started out an orphan, in a
children's home and always said she would rather die than go into a
nursing home.  But due to her dementia and other aging problems that is
exactly where she is.  She cannot do anything for herself so a tape is
out of the question, but a music box the nurses could wind for her.  I
just know it will spark something deep inside of her, and I know it
will bring her joy.  The problem is I have called everyone I can think
of and cannot find the song.  If you have any suggestions, I would very
much appreciate hearing from you.  God Bless you.
