Hi all.  I have just finished fine regulating and tuning the Foster
piano with the Pianomation.  I really thought I knew the capabilities
of this unit, but I did not.  For most of the time I have been playing
just regular 'non expression' files .

I recalibrated the processor after installing the new power-supply.
I also installed a lever on the sustain pedal so the pedal solenoid
would get more leverage on the damper rod.

This piano was made in 1918.  I restrung and rescaled it about a year
ago.  It has a Standard stack, Aeolian wind motor and the small Aeolian
pumps, to get around the Pianomation parts in the bottom of the piano.
The piano case and keybed is from a 1921 ranch style case Marshall &
Wendell; burl walnut and very pretty.

The MIDI level of my unit will play from 15 to 127, quite a range.
This is anywhere from whisper soft to string breaking, rattle the dishes
in the kitchen loud!

After tinkering with it in my spare time for days, getting things
just right, I played one of Wayne Stahnke's Ampico files through my
software.  To be honest about it, the performance of the piano as it
went through it's paces, surprised even me.  I am very satisfied with
the performance of this unit.

So please, before we make any judgments about solenoid pianos, take the
time to see and hear one that has been set up and regulated carefully.
