Organ Pitching and Voicing
By Bill Kibler

Dear David, I read your plea requesting help with organ terminology,
among other things, in the MMD. I have a page at my site that explains
some of the more general terms of pipe pitching and voicing in organs,
specifically with the imitation of organ sounds with MIDI in mind.

There are also several links at the bottom that lead to pages anyone
with an interest in pipe organs will find fascinating. You will
especially will want to check out "The King of Instruments", which has
a link page bursting with links to all sorts of organ, player piano,
calliope, band-organ, and other interesting musical sites.

This may not precisely answer all your questions, but may at least help
in furthering your understanding of these noble instruments.

Best wishes,
