By Stefan Knief

Hello, I received the following message about a Lundholm Mechanical
Organ. Do any of the Digest members have experience or knowledge of
this type instrument?

Thanks,

Hi there. My name is Stefan Knief. I live in Sweden and I am hoping
for your help.

The situation is that my father has bought an mechanical organ, but
it's not like the type I can find info about on the 'net (the type with
paper rolls). Instead of the paper roll, it has a disk about 40 cm in
diameter with holes in it and it's made of thin metal.

To play you have to pump like a normal organ and turn the handle
around. The name of the thing is "Lundholm". It was made in Sweden
in 1905. It came with five disks, [each] which contains one separate
melody. Have any clue?

Take care,
Stefan Knief
