Compressing Audio Files - RealAudio
By Beatrice Robertson

Hi Terry, Jody and I discussed this at some length when I decided
to add music to the MBSI site. We decided on RealAudio, because it is
downloadable and usable free, it has a VERY simple compression program
(absolutely necessary if I am to be able to use it,) and there is a
wide range of quality setup possible.

I use a Sony minidisk with a high quality digital microphone to record,
or I copy from CD's provided by the instrument owners. Either way, I
have had very positive response on the recordings on the MBSI web page.
Please check them out:

It is about time for me to change several to Christmas music. I also
need to add several new instruments. Gosh, isn't it nice to have so
much free time now that I am retired?
