Mechanical Music in the Movies - "The Sting"
By Bruce Miller

I have not yet seen "My Husband's Secret Life" so I cannot comment on
the band organ in that film. However, the portions of "The Sting" that
showed the carousel and the band organ were filmed on the Santa Monica
(California) Pier.

At one time the Wurlitzer 153 that is in the carousel there was known
as the most photographed band organ in the world. It seems to appear
every once in a while in some movie.
