Ricky Diggs Restores Carvings of Organ Console
By Dave Krall

I have just recently engaged the wood carving services of MMD
member Ricky Diggs, of Custom Woodworking, to repair and re-carve
damaged and missing pieces from the elaborate wood carvings on the
Loew's Kings Theatre "Wonder Morton" 4M pipe organ console that
I am now in the process of restoring/rebuilding/reconstructing.

I just want to say how pleased I am with the results. His work
is superb and the repairs and new carved pieces match in perfectly.
It's very clear that Ricky understands this style of carving and
knows how to replicate it. If anyone out there is in need of wood
carving services for their music box, band organ, or other
priceless antique, I heartily recommend Ricky Diggs. He can be
reached at <Rwdiggs@aol.com>.
