Replacement Lower Comb For Regina
By Joel Hoshaw

I read with interest Rick and Betty Cooley's posting about needing
a lower comb for their Regina. I wonder how to deal with the issue
of the combs being tuned together at the factory. I personally have
observed the tuning on the 15-1/2" Reginas to run from the key of
G-flat up to A-flat, and everywhere in between. For example, mine is
the only 15-1/2" Regina I've ever heard that's tuned to G (although of
course I have heard other brands in that key.)

I will be very interested to read how our members who specialize
in music boxes will suggest dealing with this. I suspect at least
having the replacement lower comb retuned will be required. Probably
for best sound both combs will need attention.
