English Honky-tonk Pianist "Mrs. Mills"
By Barry Hodge

I'm currently in early stages of research for an article on the late,
great English honky-tonk pianist of the 1960s and 70s, Mrs Mills, and
was wondering if you knew anything of her.

I may be rudely assuming that you're in America (most of you webber's
are) but it's no matter because, through EMI/Capitol selling hundreds
of thousands of albums during her fifteen years of recording, Mrs Mills
was exported all over the world. (Exported mainly to the Commonwealth
countries, I accept -- who had to get all the dross the UK was churning
out back then.) She used to live near me (somewhere in Essex, east of
London), and I have become a great fan, spotting her cheap, second-hand
albums in every charity and bargain shop I've ever been into.

If you have any information on her, or know of someone else who may,
could you please contact me on the above e-mail address (c/o Tristan,
my International Clairvoyant, that is).

Yours,

Barry Hodge
