Lyon and Healy
By Tom Detweiler

Hi all you knowledgeable MMDers out there -- I have a question of
interest to many of us:

I recently received a certificate from the MBSI for my Regina Corona
27" music box, which said it was shipped to Lyon and Healy in 1899,
from the Rahway NJ plant. I checked the MMD archives and found only
passing mention of Lyon and Healy, with no details. Apparently a
distributor, of pianos as well as music boxes.

Would one of you historians out there share with me, the MMD and its
archives, some information on Lyon & Healy -- who they were, what all
they distributed or sold, where they were, and who inherited all the
records of their activities, etc.? Kind of a general history?

Thanks Very Much in advance

Tom Detweiler
