Leabarjan Music Arranging Department
By Robert Perry

Hi all, I have in my collection of original documentation from the
Reliance Music Roll Co. of Auckland, New Zealand, a couple of letters
from L. F. Bartles (the 'bar' of Leabarjan) regarding the machinery
purchased by Reliance. One of the paragraphs in a letter dated 11
April 1925, states:

"We now have a department in our factory devoted to the arranging
and cutting of special player rolls. We shall include, with our
next shipment to you, a few rolls which we produced recently. A few
of our foreign friends have arranged with us to supply them two or
three popular rolls each month. If you are interested, we trust
that you will avail yourself of this service and let us cooperate
with you in every possible manner."

My question is: Does anyone know anything about what arrangements
Leabarjan produced, who arranged them, what companies did 'avail'
themselves of them, and what titles were produced?

Regards,
Robert Perry
