Old Foster & Co. Advertising
By Andy Taylor

Hi, I have came up with several interesting examples of old Foster & Co.
piano advertising, from searching and eBay. (Cable Company piano fans
need to visit eBay: I found several old advertisements by that company,
including a song book!)

It seems that these piano companies of the time would dream up almost
anything to promote their pianos. here are some examples I have in my
Foster collection (besides the pianos):

A post card with a cowboy scene, advertising Foster Pianos.
A small "paper doll" that states "Foster Pianos, Tuesday".
A fairly large paper dog display sitting with a card in his mouth
    that reads "Buy Foster Pianos".

To date, I have never found a catalogue illustrating Foster pianos,
detailing case styles and prices. That is what I need the most. Does
anyone know where I may view archives of the New York Times (or other
well known newspapers) of the 1909-1929 era?

My reasoning for that is that most major player-piano builders
advertised their pianos in the major newspapers.

Thanks

Andy Taylor
