Gors & Kallman Player
By Brian Chesters

Hello Eulani, I can't comment on the instrument you have, but I have
had two player pianos by Gors & Kallman.

I bought one near Preston in England in 1975, It was made in about 1927
and had the Carola player action in it. The player was a very high
quality instrument, the tone was as good as the Bluthner I had at the
time. I remember it took hours of adjusting to get the player action
to perform properly.

I sold it to an airline pilot who worked for Swissair and delivered
it to his house overlooking Zurich. Incidentally, he had two hydraulic
lifts in his garage with two vintage Rolls Royce autos on the top and
another two underneath.

I bought another Gors & Kallman player in the mid 80s but I can't
remember much about that one. I would guess the chance of your finding
the right player action to fit in to your instrument would be akin to
finding the Koh-e-nor diamond on the floor outside one of De Beers'
mines.
