The Great Dorset Steam Fair
By Malcolm Cole

Just a gentle word of warning if you are thinking of going to the
Dorset Steam Fair. Parking is in large fields situated all around
the main arena, and there are at least a dozen fields, all of which
look the same. There has been quite a problem with people losing their
cars because everything looks the same -- the fields and hedges do not
provide a very good reference point.

I would advise anyone going to ensure that their car has something
descriptive on it, like a coloured tape tied to the aerial or something
similar, having spent a frustrating couple of hours looking for my own
car a few years ago when everything was also covered in dust. A few
minutes spent making your own car identifiable will help a lot when you
come back to find it after a happy day.

[ Solution: The hand-held GPS locator receiver ! Plot a course
[ to steer you to the last known location of your auto, and hope
[ that it didn't slide down the muddy hillside. Then set sail
 [ for a safe haven at a cozy pub ! :-) -- Robbie
