Barrel Organ by Joseph Walker, London
By Phillipa Rispin

The following message is a non-subscriber's quest for information
regarding a Walker barrel organ. The information should be of interest
to many of us, so if you can contribute information, please do so to
both Phillipa and MMD. I was only able to give him some very general
info.

Thanks,
Todd Augsburger

I'm inquiring about a barrel organ manufactured by Joseph Walker
(London) in 1844. This organ has been in the same church in Canada
since 1850. It is in excellent working condition, and the case has
been equally well preserved. There are 3 cylinders with it, each
having 10 hymns. We would like to know:

 - about Joseph Walker's company and other Walker organs in Canada;
 - an appropriate asking price should the church decide to sell
the organ.

If you can give us any information we'd be delighted. Thanks.
