Advertising at MMD
By Terry Smythe

I am in favour of seeing eBay postings as a clickable URL. If there
are more than one, then gather them together into a single entry at
bottom of MMD. Most every donor of the entry has no financial inter-
est, so their message headers could be deleted.

Similarly, if an MMD participant has something for sale, then a brief
notice with a clickable URL to a full description elsewhere would be
equally appropriate, assuming of course that the vendor has a web site.

I appreciate the clickable eBay URL entry, super easy to check it out.
I always have difficulty browsing through eBay, and taking advantage of
someone else's success does make it easier. Might be nice one day to
see a message from a veteran eBay participant with an explanation on
how to migrate through its labyrinth and find these obscure items.

I do find the For Sale entries at the end of the Digest to be very
helpful in tracking approximate instrument values, if for no other
reason than insurance purposes. Up here in my splendid isolation,
I have become the local appraiser for others, but who appraises the
appraiser when there is only one? MMD For Sale & eBay entries are
helpful.
