Regina Chime Clock
By Berley Firmin

Hi all, Sorry I didn't make myself clear earlier. I had no intention
to denigrate the Regina Chime Clock. It _is_ a wonderfully engineered
machine. The spring barrel on the music mechanism, not on the clock,
was cracked. The clock is weight-driven.

After many hours of completely dismantling, cleaning, polishing and
painting the mechanism, I had to construct the missing pendulum: bob,
stick, and leader. In trying out the different pendulum bobs for
clearance of the weights, I became very familiar with the chimes and
tunes every hour. Very familiar. The music was nice, but too short
and not as nice as, say, a Regina music box disc!

They are beautiful clocks, well made and intriguing. I just wouldn't
pay dearly for one.
